As a senior in high school, I have reached my fourth year on the robotics team. My name is Amrit Singh, and I believe that the robotics team is a major program that can improve your life for college and for the future. I joined this team because I heard about how much hands-on experience the students are given and the business-like qualities students can gain. This whole program also improves how you interact with different types of people and adults. My plans after high school are to go to Purdue and major in architectural engineering and minor in electrical engineering. I enjoy playing sports and hanging out with friends. My favorite memory was the New York trip because that was the first trip where pretty much 75% of our team was on the field as volunteers. It was awesome to be a part of the game. Also, just the thrill of being in NY really got to me. I've learned from FIRST that with any problem you're given, the goal isn't how fast you solve it; it's the strategy and the efficiency of the solution. Also this year I gained the benefit of taking a programming class which will help improve my input while programming the robot. My goal for this year is to be able to pass down any of my programming and general robotics knowledge while still gain some more experience and tips myself.
