One thing our Design team takes pride in is making use of the many features available in Inventor. This year we utilized the stress analysis feature, cable and harness feature, the Design Accelerator, and properties such as weight to monitor the approximate weight of the actual robot being fabricated. These exciting features made it possible to efficiently and meticulously create our robot in the CAD environment.

We also held a Critical Design Review at Rolls-Royce, inviting engineers from our sponsors to evaluate our robot. We present all of the aspects of it, answer their questions, and bring home professional advice about what we can improve.

Another cool thing we did with inventor this year was using it to plan other aspects of our robot. We used Inventor to plan the locations of our logos for our sponsors on the lexan around the exterior of the robot. Our team had never used Inventor for that sort of application before. It was very helpful. We also designed a brand new crate for our robot that has weighed less than any other before.
