Cyber Blue 234 was formed in 1999 and is beginning its tenth competition year. In the true spirit of FIRST, Perry Meridian High School has helped start the following new teams around central Indiana:

FRC Teams

FLL Teams

FIRST LEGO® League is robotics built for kids, ages nine to fourteen. Nine Cyber Blue members went to mentor three LEGO® League teams, having a total of about twenty FLL members. They met for six weeks and went to the competition in Fort Wayne.

  • Cyber Cats

“By mentoring a FLL team, not only do the high school members benefit from mentoring a team, but the kids advance in their technological skills.”
— Jason Hoff

FTC Teams

Twelve members from Cyber Blue 234 went to their middle school to mentor the FTC team. Cyber Blue was very excited that a more advanced program had been created for the middle school "engineers." Fourteen middle-schoolers were on Team 56 Cyber Stangs. The Perry Meridian Cyber Stangs appeared on the front page of the Indianapolis Spotlight newspaper. At the St. Louis regional, the Cyber Stangs ended up the 4th ranked team, but unfortunately lost in the semi-finals. Cyber Blue also mentored a much smaller VEX team over the summer to create a robot in less than ten days to compete in IRI. They ended up in the winning alliance.

“Vex is a great way to involve younger kids with science in a way that appeals to their interests.”
— Dani Fegett

  • Cyber Steel
  • Cyber Collision
  • “I've learned so much through robotics that I now feel compelled to pass that knowledge and inspiration onto others and I felt this was a good opportunity.”
    — Brian Clegg

“I thought it was really fun to work with the high schoolers. They helped us to learn about engineering.”
    — Breanna Tonte, Former Cyber Stangs 56 Member
